Polyguard's 650 Waterproofing Membrane System is the classic below grade waterproofing, specified on 54% of major projects using sheet membrane material. For both foundation walls and plaza deck applications, Polyguard's 650 Waterproofing Membrane has been a preferred system for specifiers since 1970.

	650 Waterproofing Membrane for Foundation Walls
	Installed on a clean, smooth and dry primed foundation wall, 650 Waterproofing Membrane contains a 56 mil layer of polymerized asphalt formulation. If cracking occurs in the wall, this material will stretch across the crack, maintaining waterproofing integrity. The backing layer of this membrane is a high strength, extremely puncture resistant polyethylene film. Use of a protection board is required when installing 650 Waterproofing Membrane on foundation walls.

	650 Waterproofing Membrane for Plaza Decks - New Construction
	Because of Polyguard's 4' width, plaza deck applications will have 1/3 less seams and overlaps, resulting in the highest level of waterproofing integrity. The 4' width and film release liner used on Polyguard 650 Waterproofing Membrane also lead to faster and easier installation, and reduced construction waste. Use of a protection system is required when installing 650 Waterproofing Membrane on plaza decks.

	650 Waterproofing Membrane for Plaza Decks - Rehabilitation of Old Decks
	Because of the rough surfaces and many defects associated with plaza deck rehabilitation projects, many specifiers will call for a base coat of Polyguard Liquid Membrane 85 to be applied to the old surface. This two component urethane waterproofing is self-leveling when poured. Over the Liquid Membrane 85 is applied a layer of Polyguard 650 Waterproofing Membrane. Use of a protection system is required when installing 650 Waterproofing Membrane on plaza decks.

	650 Waterproofing Membrane for Planters
	*Polyguard 650 Waterproofing Membrane* should be used in planters larger than 4' x 4'. For smaller planters, use Polyguard Liquid Membrane 95, which is easier to work with in tight spaces.

	*Polyguard LowFlow™ - Drainage and Protection Mat* is a green (100% post industrial recycled content) which offers two attractive approaches to drainage. For a full description of the development of LowFlow™, click here. Since Low Flow™ costs about the same as widely used protection systems, specifiers can have drainage capability for approximately the same cost as a vertical protection system alone. Specifiers who have called for full-wall coverage of conventional drainage systems (such as Polyguard Flow 15P shown below) can often value engineer by using a combination of Flow 15P in staggered chimneys, and Low Flow™ between the chimneys. Few site soil conditions require complete coverage with Flow 15P to obtain sufficient drainage.

	Vertical Drainage Systems - Flow 15P
	*Polyguard Flow 15P Drainage and Protection System* is a conventional "dimple board" drainage system with a built-in protection layer.

	Horizontal Drainage System - Flow 18H and Flow 10HV
	*Polyguard Flow 18H Drainage and Protection System* is a strong (18,000 lb/ft² compressive strength) "Dimple board" system for normal horizontal applications. Where higher compressive strength is required (up to 30,000 lb/ft²) Polyguard Flow 10HV Drainage and Protection System should be used.
