In the late 1960's Polyguard's major business was self-adhesive tapes, used as Corrosion Coatings on underground steel pipelines. The idea of modifying these self-adhesive coatings into Vapor Barrier Walls and building envelope solutions that include Underslab Vapor Barriers as well as solutions for Blindside Waterproofing to protect structures from water and moisture advanced and the Architectural Division was born.

We began with Polyguard 650 membrane waterproofing, a product which by the mid 1990's was specified worldwide for foundations and plaza deck protection.

In the 1980's we moved above grade, protecting the building envelope with Roofing Underlayment products, Window Flashing, Thru Wall Flashing, walls, decks, and tile underlayments.

In 2003 Polyguard introduced the Underseal® line, a Below Grade, Blindside Waterproofing and Underslab Waterproofing product line with more moisture barrier features than any product on the market today. More importantly, the Underseal® line contains technology, proven over 30 years by state DOT usage and research, which reduces the amount of cracking in slabs and maintains a permanent seal when the slab does crack.

Polyguard also offers solutions for Air Barrier Walls, Drainage Board and Drainage Panel Systems, as well as Methane Barrier and Radon Barrier systems.
